Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Clymu, including Clymu's website, app, beta features, profiles, discovery, plans, messaging, photos, reports, notifications, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Clymu, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clymu.
Who We Are
Clymu is a social discovery and coordination service for climbers. For these Terms, "Clymu," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Clymu service, currently based in Israel.
Beta Terms
Clymu is a beta product. Features may change, break, lose data, be unavailable, or be removed while the product is being tested. We may modify, pause, or discontinue the service or any feature at any time.
18+ Only
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Clymu during beta. If Clymu learns that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or delete that account.
You may not use Clymu if you are legally prohibited from doing so or if we previously suspended or removed your account for safety, abuse, fraud, or Terms violations.
Your Account
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and use Clymu only for yourself. Do not create fake profiles, impersonate others, or misrepresent your climbing experience, plans, gear, location, age, or identity.
Climbing Is Inherently Dangerous
Climbing, bouldering, belaying, rappelling, outdoor travel, gym climbing, equipment use, and related activities are inherently risky and may result in serious injury, paralysis, death, property damage, or other loss.
Clymu does not supervise, organize, lead, guide, instruct, certify, or control any climbing activity. Clymu does not provide climbing, belaying, rescue, medical, safety, or emergency services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all risks related to climbing and to meeting or interacting with people through Clymu.
No Safety Or Compatibility Guarantee
Clymu does not verify a user's skill, belay competence, judgment, training, certifications, physical condition, equipment, transportation, location, identity, or trustworthiness.
Matches, recommendations, profiles, messages, locations, grades, gear descriptions, availability, and compatibility signals are informational only. We do not guarantee that any user is safe, honest, qualified, compatible, available, responsive, or suitable for you.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your choices, communications, meetings, climbing plans, climbing partners, equipment, belay checks, route choices, transportation, and personal safety. You should check your partner, equipment, anchors, knots, belay systems, routes, weather, access restrictions, local rules, and your own readiness before any climbing activity.
Meeting Other Climbers
Use caution when meeting people from Clymu. Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, check belay and gear systems, and stop if something feels wrong. Clymu is a coordination tool, not a guide service, instructor, gym, safety certification provider, or emergency system.
Community Rules
- No harassment, threats, stalking, hate, sexual pressure, spam, scams, exploitation, or abusive behavior.
- No illegal content, non-consensual content, nudity, sexual content, exploitation, or unsafe requests.
- No fake identities, misleading climbing claims, or attempts to bypass blocks, reports, moderation, or account restrictions.
- Do not share another person's private information without consent.
- Do not encourage unsafe climbing practices or pressure another user to climb, belay, travel, meet, or share personal information.
- Only upload photos and content you have the right to share.
User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile information, photos, messages, interests, climbing preferences, plans, and other materials.
You grant Clymu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting, transmit, and use your content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide Clymu.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate the law or anyone else's rights.
Moderation And Enforcement
Users can report or block other users. Clymu may review reports, messages, profiles, photos, account activity, and other information when investigating safety, abuse, fraud, legal, or policy concerns.
We may remove content, limit visibility, restrict features, suspend accounts, delete accounts, or take other action when we believe it is necessary to protect users, Clymu, or others.
Third-Party Services
Clymu may include links, integrations, maps, authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, email, moderation, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, their availability, or their practices.
No Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clymu is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, security, and safety.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clymu and its owners, employees, contractors, officers, directors, affiliates, agents, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Clymu.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clymu's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Clymu in the three months before the claim arose or USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
Release
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Clymu and its owners, employees, contractors, officers, directors, affiliates, agents, and service providers from claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your climbing activities, interactions with other users, decisions to meet or climb, user content, matches, recommendations, discovery features, or information provided by other users.
Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Clymu and its owners, employees, contractors, officers, directors, affiliates, agents, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your use of Clymu, your content, your interactions with other users, your climbing activities, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or another person's rights.
Privacy
Your use of Clymu is also covered by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data Clymu collects and how it is used.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate, such as through Clymu or by email. Your continued use of Clymu after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law And Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or Clymu will be resolved in the competent courts of the State of Israel, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
